Vixen NA140SS 140mm Refractor Telescope

Astronomers looking for large aperture refractors can be satisfied that the 140mm NA140SS delivers superb views of the night sky with its 400x light gathering power.

The latest version of the NA140 uses a new Japanese-sourced objective lens for superior performance compared to the previous generation model. This new optical system delivers better sharpness and image clarity.

This refractor has a fast focal ratio of f5.7. Deep sky objects are easily visible and astro-imagers looking for a fast instrument will be impressed with the NA140ƒ__s performance.

The advanced 4-element objective lens, set in two groups, minimises residual chromatic aberrations. With its Petzval-like correcting lens at the rear, this neo-achromatic telescope is specifically designed to provide improved colour and a flat field, making it well-suited to astrophotography.

The tube weighs under 7kg and has a focal length of 800mm. Thereƒ__s a built-in dew shield and Vixenƒ__s dual speed focuser is supplied as standard together with tube rings and dovetail mounting plate.

The 60mm visual back can accept either an optional extension tube or diagonal to accommodate 50.8mm (2ƒ_�) eyepieces.

An optional metal carry handle can be attached to the tube rings.
